Community Acupuncture
***STARTING JULY 2, 2026***
We’re pleased to announce we now offer Community Acupuncture.
Acupuncture is a Chinese medicine practice in which trained practitioners insert thin, sterile needles through the skin at strategic points on one’s body. It can be helpful for managing pain, minimizing nausea and digestive issues, and calming the nervous system.
A community setting makes acupuncture more affordable and accessible, allowing us to serve as many people as possible.
Appointments are available between 3:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.
- Each session is 30 minutes.
- Limited to 6 people per session.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Sliding scale fee: $20-$55 (pay what you can).

WHAT TO EXPECT
Acupuncture is a very safe, reliable treatment that has been practiced all over the world for nearly 2,000 years. Community Acupuncture is a way to practice acupuncture that enables the acupuncturist and the treatment environment to be as healing and supportive for the patient as possible. All someone needs to have a positive experience with acupuncture is an open mind, and sleeves and pant legs that can be rolled up easily.
MEET OUR PRACTITIONER
Michael Kalebich has been practicing acupuncture since 2016. After graduating from the Midwest College of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine in 2015, and initially beginning his career in Lawrence, Kansas, he has happily been living and working in La Crosse since December 2017. His appreciation of how effective acupuncture can be for any number of conditions stems both from his experience having successfully treated many patients in practice, and from having been a patient himself. Originally from Chicago, Michael’s first experience with Chinese medicine was at age 15, after having been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. He was introduced to a practitioner working in Chicago, Dr. Wu, and the treatment he received was so effective so quickly that even Michael’s biomedical doctors asked him, “What did you do?” Michael strives to bring that level of effective, compassionate care to all of the patients he works with while practicing acupuncture.
