Sarah Hennessey, FSPA
I understand spiritual direction as being heard fundamentally as you are and finding mystery and the holy in the ordinary. As a spiritual director, I listen nonjudgmentally to your stories of the everyday and hold them in a confidential environment. I love the life-changing gift of being heard clearly and have found spiritual direction to be of great assistance in my own life. I welcome those of all faiths or none, those who do not use God-language and those who are quite orthodox in their faith. I hold in my heart a special place for those in the storms of life who are seeking light in their trials. As a Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration since 2002, I enjoy community life in La Crosse and sharing the Franciscan spirit widely. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in religious studies and a Master of Arts degree in theology from University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. I am available to meet at the FSC or by Zoom.
Sister Sarah was on staff of the FSC from August 2019 to July 2026, when she accepted a new ministry role for Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration. She continues to be a supervisor in our Spiritual Direction Preparation Program.

Chelle Belland
I have a background in mental-health therapy and have benefited from my own spiritual direction for more than 10 years. My background of listening to people’s stories and working through my own spiritual journey inspired me to become a spiritual director. While meeting with individuals, I am deeply committed to creating space for and listening to everyone’s faith, prayer and spiritual practices, no matter their belief background. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, running, reading, baking and working out. My husband and I have been part of the La Crosse community for more than 25 years and have raised three daughters. I am available to meet at the FSC or by Zoom.

Alison Hendley, OSB
I am an experienced spiritual director offering one-on-one direction and supervision. I am trained as a healer and have a deep love for nature, often bringing God’s creation intentionally into a session. My training includes Eco Therapy and how the body can support healing. I also am a deacon with the United Methodist Church and a professed monastic member of St. Brigid of Kildare Monastery. As a woman who has worked through her own personal trauma from childhood abuse, I am gifted at working with others through trauma and abuse. I am highly intuitive and use my gifts to serve others in moving toward wholeness and hope. Having grown up in London and lived in both rural and urban California, I have interacted with many cultures and diverse people, which I enjoy. I reside in Central Minnesota and love hiking, kayaking, gardening and my dog and cat. I am available to meet by Zoom.

Gabriela Caballero-Moersfelder
Originally from Costa Rica, I am a bilingual, bicultural licensed professional counselor, retreat facilitator and spiritual guide with a deep commitment to serving the Spanish-speaking community. I have a master’s degree in psychology and a post-master’s certificate in theology. I completed spiritual guidance training at the Siena Retreat Center and am a certified facilitator of Brené Brown’s Daring Greatly© program. My work weaves together clinical knowledge, theological insight and spiritual wisdom to accompany individuals and groups on their journeys toward healing and wholeness. I believe the relationship between guide and seeker is grounded in confidentiality, respect, honesty and deep listening—both to one another and to the presence of the Divine. I live in Waukesha, Wisconsin, with my husband and our rescue dog. I am a proud wife, mother and sister—roles that inspire the compassion I bring to my ministry and my service. I am available to meet by Zoom.
